Do you know the problem that with a simple color change in rounds such a small "step" arises and the in each case differently colored round does not run so simply "straight" through? There is a very simple trick to prevent this step. This trick is hidden behind today's door.
When changing colors, a stitch from the row below is simply picked up and knitted off. In this way, the change is contracted and becomes invisible.

Marisa
I am Marisa, the founder behind Maschenfein. I made the first stitches with my grandma Lotti when I was about five years old. In 2014 I founded "Maschenfein". What started as a blog has now become exactly the online store for wool & knitting accessories that I always wanted. Together with my team I want to enrich the knitting world with inspiration, pattern, beautiful yarns and the best accessories.

The video is super made and easy to understand to work! Now to my question... if I do so over several color changes again and again, then my round start shifts quasi always by a stitch further with, because you always have to "re-knit" a stitch again with the old color... can this be somehow fixed again?
Knitting striped socks for the first time right now, so I'm not quite sure. 😅🙈
Thanks already for the help!

Dear Lisa, thank you for your feedback 🙂 You are right, this method shifts the beginning of the round. So instead of always knitting one stitch more, you could also "accept" that one stitch is always knitted less. In our experience, this is visually little or not at all noticeable. Of course, it also depends on the width of your strip. We would recommend that you knit a sample stitch in rounds and see which variant suits you better. Good luck in any case and best regards!
