The glitter scarf for Little Miss is ready. It is white. With colorful sequins. Clear or not? She wears it day in and day out, even to play in the garden or in the sandbox and that's totally ok! I'm not too big a fan of going easy on knits. Alright, cashmere might be. Or such insanely elaborate gifts like Sophia's scarf, which her mom ended up getting. I understand the desire for a certain respect for the knitted piece. But the glittery scarf may of course be worn extensively.

The sequin yarn is Kid-Paillettes from Schulana in the color ivory. I had already told the other day that this color is unfortunately falling out of the range. As a result, a knitting-crazy friend (can I tell on you?) snagged the leftovers at LaLaine here in Berlin (where I bought it). So I don't know if it's still available anywhere. But the other colors are nice too! Just not with the great colorful, but each with plain sequins.

My Miss had fallen in love with this yarn during a wool store visit. Very much. There were even tears because I didn't buy it right away (hello? I just had an Easy triangle shawl in pink-orange Silkhair print jump off the needles for her). But the apple doesn't fall far from the tree and women can never have enough shawls.

Glitter cloth sequins

So there was the glitter yarn for Christmas and I rummaged in my slowly but (I must admit it) considerably growing yarn stash for a suitable partner yarn. I still had a lot of Piper in white from Quince & Co left over from the Anna cardigan. I really love Piper, by the way. I can't get sick of knitting with it at all.

I knitted this shawl not like the Easy Triangle shawl from the long middle out, but this time from the top up. Left and right you see crossed stitches, just before the edge. And I optimized the shape with short rows, which is quite important for this kind of shawl in stockinette stitch. But I won't tell you more yet. There is also a version in blue-green... which I must withhold from you for a while.
