Baby blanket with bunny is a particularly fine cozy blanket, which is knitted in the doubleface technique. Thus, both sides are identical and differ only in colors. If on one side the bunnies are white on a gray background, the colors appear reversed on the other side. There is no unsightly back here - the threads are sewn inside the blanket.

The yarn used Saffira made of merino wool and silk is perfect for sensitive baby skin. The baby blanket with bunny thus becomes a long companion. Whether excursion with the stroller, sleep in the child's seat or cozy play on the blanket. The cozy blanket can also be washed in the washing machine in the gentle wool wash cycle. To make sure that the wool wash cycle of your own washing machine is suitable for this, it is recommended to test the washing program in advance on a gauge from the yarn used.

I knitted this baby blanket in salmon and taupe. The wool is wonderfully soft and is also enough for two more bunny rows. However, it tends to roughen up, and already during the knitting. This is a bit depressing with the very expensive wool. The linked pattern also have a small shortcoming, because they show the knitting and sewing only with an unsightly edge variation. To have beautiful finishes all around like the pattern blanket, you have to look for more pattern on the Internet - both for the side edges and the first and last stitches in the Italian cast-off.
In the end, everything turned out well and I hope the blanket will stay beautiful for a long time in use!!!

Generally you can say: the looser a yarn is twisted and the more untreated it is, the faster it tends to pill / fuzz. this is therefore not necessarily a characteristic of poor wool quality.
We actually don't have a video on the edge stitches in combination with single-thread knitting for doubleface, "only" for the single-thread technique for doubleface in general. But the edge stitches are basically the same as in brioche knitting.
