Umma Sweater

The Umma Sweater by aegyoknit is a large, wide sweater with the well-known Umma cut. The sweater is open at the front and has two overlapping fronts. It is a mixture of sweater and cardigan, giving it a particularly casual look. The Umma Sweater now also has other details such as ribbed patterns on the sleeves and sides or double cast on the front edges or lower cuffs.
The Umma Sweater is knitted from the top down. You start with the neckband. From there, stitches are picked up and the shoulder section is knitted with short rows and raglan increases. Then knit the front and back pieces individually up to under the arms. Now knit all pieces together again in the rows down. The sleeves are knitted directly to the armholes.
The sweater has many different techniques that need to be worked simultaneously and is therefore suitable for advanced knitters.

The sweater should be knitted with a positive ease of 15 - 20 cm but no more than 35 cm.

Knitting set

The knitting kit contains the required amount of Lamana - Como Grande (100% merino) in your desired color for your size. You will also need 3.5 - 5.0 mm knitting needles (or needles matching the gauge) and the ENGLISH knitting pattern.
