Timeless Knits

Knitting pattern for sweaters and cardigans by Regina Moessmer - each model in 11 sizes and five yarn counts
Please note this book is only availabe in German!
Knitting designer Regina Moessmer solves a problem of almost all knitters with this book: The tiresome conversion of an pattern when one would rather use a different yarn size. Whether knitting pattern for sweaters, cardigans, or accessories: If you like the design, you would often like to knit the model in other yarns - but not everyone wants to recalculate the gauge and increases and decreases. "Timeless Knits" therefore contains five basic designs for classic cardigans and sweaters, ready converted and adjusted for the five most common yarn counts. All designs are knitted using the top-down method.

  • 25 timeless designs: five basic designs in 11 sizes from 35 to 54
  • Each model in 5 yarn counts each, from yardage 1.340m/100g to 160m/100g
  • Knitting without seams: Knit all sweaters and cardigans with the top-down method (as raglan from the top, straight shoulder or with the contiguous-shoulder method).
  • Many additional model variations: Knit the favorite model with stand-up collar, pockets or as a short-sleeved sweater

Knitting the very special cardigan - using different yarn counts to create very different looks Regina Moessmer is known for her straightforward designs. What's particularly exciting about the designs in this book is how much the yarn gauge used affects the design. The broken-seed stitch definition of model Caspar looks very fine with thin yarn and brings structure to the sweater in the heavier version. The cable stitch definition of model Amelie is particularly easy to knit for beginners:inside with the stronger yarn, while advanced knitters will enjoy the fine cables. If you enjoy knitting sweaters in one piece (without a single seam), you will enjoy this book. The different techniques in each model keep the knitting exciting, but can be easily implemented even by ambitious beginners. Whether knitting neckline, rolled edge or pockets - each knitting pattern makes the self-knitted sweater unique with small design details.
