Sea Silk Top - PDF knitting pattern

PDF knitting pattern from Knitting for Else and Maschenfein

The Sea Silk Top is a loose-fitting striped top made from soft, summery bourette silk. The top is worked top down with a 3 mm needle.
top down in one piece.

First knit the back and then the front in rows. The two pieces are joined together under the arms and the top
is finished in rounds. The neck and armholes are then finished with a decorative seam. The cuffs are worked in double knit including the second decorative seam with a 2 mm needle.

The stripes of the Sea Silk top grow with the sizes, all sizes have 10 stripes, which include more rows/rounds depending on the size. If the top is to be worn cropped, one stripe can be omitted at the bottom.

Pure Silk by Knitting for Olive (100 % silk; LL approx. 250 m / 50 g)

The yarn consumption is indicated for the striped version of the Sea Silk Top
is indicated. The swatch should be knitted with color 3.

Color 3: (50 / 50 / 50) (50 / 50 / 50 / 50) g

Needles

3.0 & 2.0 mm circular knitting needles
(or suitable for the gauge)
Tip: The needle for the cuff should be 1.0 gauge smaller
than the needle used to knit the body of the top.
