Nile Sweater

The Nile Sweater is a cozy sweater knitted in half-patch. It starts with the two front sections, which are initially worked separately from each other and are shaped with short rows and increases at the V-neck before being joined together. The back follows in the same way, with a slightly lower neckline. The front and back pieces are then joined in the round under the armpits and worked to the desired length. The body ends with a ribbed band of knit and purl stitches, which is sewn down in the Italian style. The cast-on, wide sleeves are first knitted with decreases and then worked in a straight shape to the desired length before they too end with a ribbed cuff and an Italian finish. Finally, stitches are picked up along the V-neck on the front and back of the sweater to create a ribbed finish knitted with decreases.
