STITCH sweater - knitting pattern
PDF knitting pattern from Paula_M
The STITCH Sweater is a simple, boxy cut sweater in a lace pattern. It can be worn in summer from cotton nice and airy over a top, in winter from soft virgin wool over a longsleeve or blouse.
The sweater is knitted top down in the lace pattern. First knit the back piece with increases for the shoulder bias, then knit the left and right front pieces. Back and front pieces are knitted in rows until the end of the armholes. Then both pieces are joined for the torso and it is worked in rounds. For the sleeves, pick up stitches from the side edges of the front and back pieces and also knit in rounds. Finally, the neckline is edged with a ribbed cuff.
Techniques used: Hole pattern, double stitches (kfb/kbf), left and right inclined decreases, cast off with the 'Italian method'.
Sizes: XS (S) M (L) XL (XXL)
Chest circumference: 102 (104) 112 (122) 128 (138) cm
Total length: 51 (52) 54 (56) 58 (61) cm
Sleeve length from armpit: 45 (45) 46 (46) 46 (47) cm
The sweater should have a range of motion ('positive ease') of about 15 cm to the body. If you like it very loose and oversized, you can plan a little more 'positive ease'. At a height of 1.76 m and a chest circumference of 88 cm I wear the light sweater here for example in size M and the dark sweater with a little less 'positive ease' in size S.
