Maya blouse
The Maya blouse from Lotilda is knitted seamlessly from the top in one piece with a round yoke. With a round yoke, the increases for the sleeves, back and front are knit evenly distributed over the yoke, each within one row.
The blouse is first worked in back and forth rows and then closed to form a round, creating a deep straight neckline. With the I-cord knitted on afterwards, you can either casually knot the neckline or tie it into a bow. The short cut is ideal with skirts or high-waist pants. The top-down technique makes it easy to adjust the depth of the neckline, the overall length and the sleeve length.
The hem and sleeve hem are also cast off with an I-cord finish. The tight I-cord trim makes the jumper fall balloon-like at the sleeves and hips.
The entire blouse is knitted 4-thread.

Very cool blouse. I knitted it in crimson. Is so far my most admired knit and not difficult.
And as always, I would knit another one in a heartbeat if there was a version without mohair....
Verified purchase. More information

Dear Régine,
yes, the Maya blouse is really great! Replacing the mohair in this model if you can't tolerate it will be tricky, though, to keep the lightness of the knit. You could try the Piura. Also from LAMANA, so the same color palette. It's just a little heavier and should therefore only be knitted in two or three strands. You would have to test this with a stitch test.
Have fun trying and best regards
Louisa
