Long - Pineapple

Pineapple by Lang Yarns is a unique summer yarn. It consists of Lyocell and Anam PALF, which is obtained from the leaves of the pineapple plant. Normally, these leaves are considered waste after the pineapple has been harvested. They are usually burned, releasing a lot of CO2. Using a sustainable method without bleaching agents, the fiber contained in the pineapple yarn can be extracted from the leaves. This can save up to 6 kg of CO2 per kilo of fiber and provide pineapple farmers with an additional source of income.

The pineapple fibers give the yarn a rustic and somewhat irregular look without being scratchy. The lyocell gives pineapple a beautiful sheen. Knitted in stockinette stitch, the beautiful structure comes into its own, but it is also very suitable for lace patterns. Pineapple is naturally breathable.
This bright and colorful palette leaves no summer wish unfulfilled.
