Leo Cardigan

The Leo Cardigan is an oversized raglan cardigan in a timeless leo pattern and is worked in the round in stockinette stitch using the fair isle technique. After the cast-on, increases are worked along the raglan slants to shape the body, the wide sleeves and the V-neck. After the sleeves have been set aside, the work is continued in a straight shape until the wide cuffs are worked in double face and finished with the Italian bind-off. The sleeves are knitted in the round without decreases and also end with a wide cuff in double face. After picking up stitches along the front and neck, a button placket is knitted in double face. The special feature of this cardigan is the steek technique used, which makes it possible to work projects with intricate patterns in the round. A steek seam is worked between the left and right front pieces, which is secured with crocheted stitches once the cardigan is finished and cut open with sharp scissors after washing.

The entire cardigan is knitted with two strands of Cusi and one strand of Premia.

The cardigan should be knitted with a positive ease of approx. 20 - 40 cm.

Knitting set

The knitting kit contains the required amount of LAMANA - Cusi (100 % alpaca) and Premia (60 % mohair, 40 % silk) in your desired colors for your size as well as optional knitting pattern. You will also need knitting needles with a gauge of 3.5 - 4.0 mm (or matching the gauge of the gauge) as well as a crochet hook, pointed scissors, various stitch markers and 4 buttons.
