Karma Cotton Recycled

Cotton textiles, such as T-shirts, are given a new lease of life in Karma Cotton, a recycled cotton. It is beautifully soft and produces an amazingly even, smooth knit. The raw material is collected in the same country where it is processed, reducing transportation distances. It is carefully pre-sorted to achieve the wide variety of colors. The process therefore does not require bleaching agents.

Since the fibers are heavily shredded during the preparation of the raw material, a load-bearing additional material is needed for stabilization, which in this case also comes from recycling, namely from PET bottles.

Responsibility

All yarns of the Kremke Soul Wool brand are mulesing-free. Britta Kremke, the founder of this diverse brand, is also always on the lookout for innovative production processes and yarns that are produced in an environmentally friendly and sustainable manner. As a result, five recycled yarns and two yarns with a high Tencel® content have already been created. Tencel® is described by the environmental protection organization PETA as one of the least environmentally damaging fibers because it is produced in a closed cycle. The issue of sustainability will play an even greater role in the brand in the future: Currently, Kremke Soul Wool is in the certification process for Oeko-Tex 100, Traceable Lots and Responsible Alpaca Standard (RAS).
