Description
Eco Cashmere Fingering
Cashmere is cashmere - super soft, light as a feather, great climate characteristics, great running length, beautiful knitted pattern. But unfortunately mostly very expensive. In the Eco Cashmere Fingering - quality yarn from Kremke Soul Wool 50% recycled cashmere is used, which is a residual fiber in the same spinning mill. Then both materials are spun together into a wonderfully voluminous yet lightweight 6-ply cashmere yarn, which is wonderfully productive at 112m/25g. Thus, the rare and precious cashmere fiber is used optimally and contributes to the ecological balance.
Responsibility
All yarns of the Kremke Soul Wool brand are mulesing-free. Britta Kremke, the founder of this diverse brand, is also always on the lookout for innovative production processes and yarns that are produced in an environmentally friendly and sustainable manner. As a result, five recycled yarns and two yarns with a high Tencel® content have already been created. Tencel® is described by the environmental protection organization PETA as one of the least environmentally damaging fibers because it is produced in a closed cycle. The issue of sustainability will play an even greater role in the brand in the future: Currently, Kremke Soul Wool is in the certification process for Oeko-Tex 100, Traceable Lots and Responsible Alpaca Standard (RAS).

Renate T. -
The wool breaks every now and then when knitting, it is far too expensive for that, I will not use it again. After inserting the sleeve (top down) a thread must have broken, I can pick up 8 stitches again and sew them in!

Dear Renate,
oh dear, of course that's not nice. Tearing is actually not a criterion for bad yarn. It rather shows how loosely it is spun and how tightly someone knits. This can happen with cashmere yarns in particular due to their texture. Of course, it is still not beautiful! Unfortunately, this has happened to me several times within a project with another cashmere yarn.
Kind regards
Louisa
