Ilios Top
~Ilios~ by Sandra Groll is knitted seamlessly from the bottom up. Beginning on the inside of the cuff, the stitches are first cast on provisionally and a piece of the inner cuff is knitted before continuing on the outside after a fold-over edge. By knitting the provisionally cast on stitches and the working stitches together, the double cuff is closed. Stockinette stitch, interrupted at the sides by fake stitches, continues in the striped pattern. Before the back stitches are cast off, a ribbed cuff is worked over them. The front piece is divided in the middle and with the help of short rows the V-neck is formed on both pieces. Working without a turn stitch results in a nice hole pattern. Both front pieces continue straight over the shoulder. Separately worked I-cord bands connect the back to the shoulder pieces.
