Homeland cardigan

The Homeland cardigan is a cozy companion for cold days. Knitted in Poppy by Sandes, it is also a wonderful splash of color when the days turn grey.

It is an oversized cardigan with wide sleeves and low raglan slants. It is knitted from the top down. Starting at the neck, the cardigan is worked in back and forth rows. The front and back are knitted in stockinette stitch, the sleeves are worked in half brioche stitch with the wrong side facing outwards. The sleeves are worked slightly longer and then cuffed, which enhances the voluminous look.
To finish, a facing with buttonholes is knitted along the right front, the right sleeve, the cast-on edge of the back, the left sleeve and the left front in double face.

The cardigan should be knitted with a positive ease of 12-14 cm.

Knitting set

The knitting kit contains the required amount of Sandnes - Poppy (50% alpaca, 35% cotton, 15% virgin wool) in your desired color for your size. You will also need 5.5 - 6 mm knitting needles (or needles to match the gauge of the gauge swatch).
