Hør Silke by Gepard is a beautiful summer yarn. The French linen has a cooling effect on the skin and the wild tussah silk gives your knitwear a beautiful sheen. The yarn is spun as a warp yarn from many very thin threads so that it does not fluff at all and does not stick to the skin. Despite its considerable meterage, this type of spinning gives it a greater volume so that you can knit quick and light projects with it. Hør Silke also gives your knitted piece a beautiful flowing drape. It can be knitted loosely with a heavier needle or tightly with a smaller one, depending on the look you want for your knitted piece. Together with a thin cashmere or mohair thread, it is also a super comfortable knit.

The stitch definition can look very irregular during knitting. However, this will disappear after the first wash!

Responsibility

The flax for the linen fiber comes from France and the silk is a wild tussah silk. Hør Silke is spun in Italy.
Gepard Garn was founded in Denmark in 1989. All yarns meet high quality standards in terms of both the environment and the people who work with them. Gepard yarns are spun in Italy in small family-run spinning mills. The spinning mills there have a long tradition of spinning and dyeing expertise, which contributes to the quality of the yarns.

Care: To achieve the luxurious, smooth slouchy linen look, HørSilke knitwear must be soaked in clear water at room temperature for approx. 30 minutes. With several colors, care should be taken during the first wash to ensure that they do not bleed. For subsequent washes, Hør Silke can be machine washed at 20 - 25 degrees, but it is better to avoid spinning.
