Erika Knight - Wool Local Aran
Wool Local Aran by Erika Knight is the heavy 10ply version of the popular Wool Local yarn. This heavy and sturdy yarn is great for rustic sweaters and jackets that keep you warm in the winter outdoors and are quick to knit.
Responsibility
From fleece to finished yarn in less than 50 miles: Wool Local Aran also meets that exact requirement, being both quintessentially British and sustainably produced. The raw wool is purchased at the Bradford wool auction and then sorted, combed, spun, steamed and wound in Yorkshire. This wonderful blend is made up of approximately half each of luxurious Bluefaced Leicester wool and the robust Masham in a sweater-grade Aran weight. It is thus a truly local wool that has its roots in the heart of the English textile industry.
