Erika Knight - Pure Tweed

Pure Tweed by Erika Knight is literally pure tweed with real British charm and feeling: no additives, no material mix, no refinement with other fibers: simply Pure Tweed. The yarn is traditionally spun as a carded tweed yarn in Aran weight. In carded yarn, the fibers are not combed but spun after carding. This allows a lot of air into the yarn, which makes it nice and airy and voluminous. Knitted pieces made from carded yarn are very durable and often last a lifetime. Erika Knight Pure Tweed has a soft yet robust feel. It is perfect for knitting durable cardigans, hats or blankets.

Responsibility

The wool used comes from sheep from Europe and New Zealand, the yarn is spun in Ireland, in County Donegal. It is not a cozy soft merino wool, but a robust yarn for wool lovers:inside and long-lasting knitwear! After washing, it becomes even softer and fluffier.
