Moorland Mohair by Erika Knight is a fine yarn for knitting projects of all kinds. It was designed as a natural sock yarn without polyamide, but the yarn can do so much more! The unique blend of 80% Bluefaced Leicester and 20% mohair shines nobly and glides over the needles almost by itself. The soft, durable Bluefaced Leister yarn absorbs the color exceptionally well and therefore has a natural, fine sheen. The high-quality mohair blend ensures fluffy and durable socks made from 100% natural materials, which is good for both your feet and the environment.

But the Moorland Mohair yarn is also more than suitable for knitting shawls and sweaters. Or would you prefer a light tunic? This noble and extraordinary luxury wool leaves nothing to be desired. The carefully selected colors are harmoniously coordinated and reflect Erika Knight's motto "Born in Britain".

Bluefaced Leicester is the best known and most popular wool on the market after merino wool, but availability is limited. Due to high demand, the price of Bluefaced Leister has risen by around 300% in recent years. Despite these challenges, Erika Knight has decided to develop this sock wool without superwash treatment and synthetic fibers.

Tip: Only assess the stitch definition after washing! Due to the fine 2-thread twist, the knitted fabric may appear uneven before washing, but will be wonderfully even after washing.

The sustainability of her yarns is particularly important to Erika Knight. She strives for short production routes for her British yarns in order to emphasize the beauty of her original wool even more.
