Description
Erika Knight - British Blue Wool Fingering
Here comes the fine variety of British Blue, the typical British new wool from the Bluefaced Leicester sheep. The sheep of this breed give a wonderful long staple (that's what the experts call long fibers), fine, slightly shiny wool. The sheen comes from the fact that the hairs are not very crimped, but ratherlie parallel next to each other sothat light is gently reflected. The yarn has a natural softness and the long fibers ensure that pilling is a foreign word with this yarn.
Responsibility
The wool comes from the Bluefaced Leicester sheep from Great Britain. It is then spun and dyed in Turkey. Erika Knight is particularly concerned about the sustainability of her yarns. She strives for short distances in the production of her British yarns to bring out the beauty of her original wool even more.
