Cap Edla

The hat "Edla" from our children's book "Smaland - Scandinavian knitting" is knitted in rounds and started with a ribbed cuff, which is later folded over. The rest of the hat is knitted stockinette stitch with a star in a pearl pattern on the front. Without decreases is worked to the desired height, where the stitches on the inside of the hat are knitted together with three needles. Finally, pom-poms can be attached to the resulting tails, or a few centimeters of knitting tube can be worked for a tail knot. For the small sizes, additional double knitted ear flaps and tie straps are worked, so that the cap fits perfectly even for the smallest.

0 (up to 6 months; head circumference approx. 42-44 cm)
1 (6 months to 1 year; head circumference approx. 44-46)
2 (1-2 years; head circumference approx. 48-50 cm)
3 (3-4 years; head circumference approx. 52-53 cm)
4 (5-8 years; head circumference approx. 54-55 cm)
5 (9-12 years; head circumference approx. 56-57 cm)

Knitting is done with PASCUALI Cashmere 6/28 (100% cashmere) on 2.5 and 3.0 mm needles. The knitting kit contains the necessary amount of yarn in your desired color and optionally our book "Smaland - Scandinavian knitting", in which you will find the pattern. In addition, you need short circular needles of 2.5 and 3.0 mm or suitable for the gauge or appropriate needle plays.
