Edla gloves

The gloves "Edla" from our children's book "Smaland - Scandinavian knitting" are started at the ribbed cuff, which is knitted over twice the length and later worn folded over. Over the palm the gloves are knitted stockinette stitch. A star in a pearl pattern on the top of the hand adds that certain something. The smallest size is worked without a thumb, for the remaining sizes an auxiliary thread is knitted in for the thumb at the appropriate height and the thumb is worked in later. The gloves in the small sizes can optionally be knitted with a catch strap so that they do not get lost.

Mittens:
Size 0 (up to 1 year; hand circumference approx. 11 cm)
Size 1 (1-2 years; hand circumference approx. 12 cm)
Size 2 (3-4 years; hand circumference approx. 13 cm)
Finger gloves:
Size 3 (5-6 years; hand circumference approx. 14 cm)
Size 4 (7-8 years; hand circumference approx. 15 cm)
Size 5 (9-10 years; hand circumference approx. 16 cm)
Size 6 (11-12 years; hand circumference approx. 17 cm)

Knitting Kit Edla Gloves

Knitting is done with PASCUALI Cashmere 6/28 (100% cashmere) on 3.0 mm needles. The knitting kit contains the necessary amount of yarn in your desired color and optionally our book "Smaland - Scandinavian knitting", in which you will find the pattern. In addition, you need a needle gauge 3.0 mm or matching the gauge.
