CARLO Hat - PDF knitting pattern

Cap CARLO is knitted in the style of a pilot cap with earflaps and front trim. It keeps you nice and warm and is perfect for the whole family.

The hat is worked from the bottom up in a rib pattern. The ear flaps and front panel are first knitted individually in rows and then joined at the appropriate height. Then work in rounds up to the decreases. The decreases for the cap top are knitted as left and right inclined decreases. Finally, the hat can be edged with an I-cord or a double-laid, plain knit facing. Both variations are described in the pattern.

Techniques used: rib pattern, increases with left and right slant, decreases with left and right slant, I-cord.

Head circumference 51-53 cm (54-56) 57-59 (60-62) cm.

Gauge: 23 x 22-24 rows = 10 cm with needle 5.0 mm in rib pattern
