Sustainability has been a key aspect of Cardiff Cashmere's company philosophy since it was founded in the 1980s. All yarns are manufactured 100% in Italy in the Biella district. The cashmere fibers come from Inner Mongolia, where they are sourced from selected farmers and their animals. Guaranteed compliance with animal welfare is Cardiff's top priority. By producing the yarns in Biella, Cardiff is keeping an old tradition alive that secures the income of many families in the region. Keeping all processes in the same place saves resources and produces less waste and environmental damage.
