Cardiff - Brushlight

Brushlight by Cardiff Cashmere is a super soft, brushed yarn made from cashmere and silk. The so-called "brushed" effect ensures a light appearance and a great structure. The fineness of the yarn makes it ideal for knitting both warming winter projects and light summer pieces. Whether elegant and buttery soft sweaters or light yet warming shawls, Brushlight conjures up wonderful knitted pieces. As it is a little fuller than a conventional brushed yarn, it can also be knitted on its own.

Sustainability has been a key aspect of Cardiff Cashmere's corporate philosophy since the company was founded in the 1980s. All yarns are manufactured 100% in Italy in the Biella district. The cashmere fibers come from Inner Mongolia, where they are sourced from selected farmers and their animals. Guaranteed compliance with animal welfare is Cardiff's top priority. By producing the yarns in Biella, Cardiff is keeping an old tradition alive that secures the income of many families in the region. Keeping all processes in the same place saves resources and produces less waste and environmental damage.
