Description
Brevue Cardigan
The oversized cardigan is knitted in garter stitch from the top down and is a sophisticated companion that will also enhance a smart office outfit. Start with the back, which is cast on provisionally and knitted in a straight shape before the stitches are put on hold at underarm level. Short rows for the shoulders are then worked over the stitches picked up from the cast-on before the work is divided into the back and the two front sections. Short rows are also knitted here before the front pieces are also knitted down to underarm level. The body is then continued over all stitches before short rows are knitted again to lengthen the back. The body ends with a wide ribbed band, which is sewn off with Italian bind-off. For the sleeves, stitches are picked up from the edges of the front and back. The sleeves are worked without decreases and also end in a wide ribbed cuff. Finally, stitches are picked up from the front pieces and the back for the facing. The facing, like hem and cuffs, is also knitted in a rib pattern and sewn off with the Italian bind-off.
Como and Premia or Cashmere Classic and Premia are knitted with two threads.
