Braidy Loop Cardigan

The Braidy Loop Cardigan from Other Loops is a beautiful, wide cardigan with special details and a braid that stretches from one wrist over the sleeve, the back and the second sleeve to the other wrist over the entire cardigan. The cardigan also has a second plait on each sleeve and is rounded off with simple and less playful details such as the double-knit button placket and straight cut.
The cardigan is knitted seamlessly from the top down and features a saddle shoulder construction, which ensures a good fit despite the wide cut. First, stitches are cast on at the center back of the cardigan. These stitches form the shoulder yoke and stitches for the shoulders and sleeves are increased from this strip and thus shaped. At the same time, stitches are knitted up to the armpits. At this point, the stitches for the sleeves, front and back are divided and the sleeve stitches are set aside. The body is then knitted in rows to the hem. The sleeve stitches are then picked up again and the sleeves are worked in the round to the cuffs. Finally, stitches are picked up along the cardigan opening and the button plackets and edges, including the neckband, are knitted on using the double knitting technique.

The Braidy Loop Cardigan is knitted with a positive ease of approx. 25 cm.

Wool package

The wool package contains the required amount of Sandnes - Double Sunday (100 % virgin wool) and Sandnes - Tynn Silk Mohair (57 % mohair, 28 % silk, 15 % virgin wool) in your desired color for your size. You will also need 4.0 and 4.5 mm knitting needles (or needles matching the gauge), 4 buttons (diameter 23 - 24 mm) and the ENGLISH pattern.
