Description
Betagen - knitting pattern
printed knitting pattern
What's so fun about knitting designer Theresa Shingler's Betagen sweater is its chevron pattern. The classic zigzag color pattern is popular in fashion design for statement pieces. Our fine mottled yarn Manx Merino Fine adds vibrancy to the design with its subtle chiaroscuro reflections. For Betagen, we chose the gray tones rock and thunderstorm for a particularly sophisticated, timeless look. The sweater has a comfortable length, but because of the lightweight yarn, it can also be tucked into higher-cut pants or a skirt. Betagen is knitted seamlessly, which not only eliminates the need for sewing together, but also keeps the ornate pattern looking beautiful without interruption.
Betagen offers a lot of interesting things for advanced knitters and can be a bit more challenging for beginners - a super opportunity to improve your skills. It is worked in the round from the bottom up. Starting from the cuffs, the body and sleeves are knit separately to the armpits and then joined. Decreases integrated into the chevron pattern create the yoke from the underarms to the neckline. Short rows form the back neckline. Finally, the underarms are knitted together seamlessly.
