I don't know about you, but I'm slowly getting into the mood: I've fully enjoyed the late summer and golden October, but now I'm entering the home straight - also in terms of knitting. November has begun and with it definitely comes the feeling that the last weeks of the year have begun.

I personally have finished a few projects and am now debating whether to start a Christmas sweater after all. You can read more about that below! But for now, I'll show you what my colleagues have on their needles in November. Enjoy reading and be inspired!

Good planning is worth a lot

Jule is obviously a very forward-thinking knitter and was already thinking about the hat for this fall and winter in spring!

Last spring I finished the BERLIN Scarf by Paula_M and ordered two more balls of Børstet Alpakka from Sandnes to knit myself a matching hat. Now I'm looking for the right hat pattern for the yarn and I've noticed that there aren't that many for this quality ... That means I'll have to do swatches first! I don't yet know which pattern I like for the hat. The brushed alpaca has a special look and I now have to find out which knitting pattern will show it off best. It remains exciting.

Sandra has been busy with a secret project for Maschenfein over the past few weeks. Fortunately, there was still a bit of private knitting time left!

I have now reached the sleeves of my Ola sweater by Irene Lin from Brushlight by Cardiff and had planned to finish the stockinette part on both sides first before tackling the pattern part. It was a great pleasure when the ball of yarn was finished - exactly when the required length for the stockinette part was reached. The Monk rejoices - yes, these are the little joys of life. 😅

Lisa is talking about a hat again. When the air is cold or the wind is whistling around our ears, we like to wear a knitted hat!

My next fall project is "Lasse" - a classic ribbed hat based on a pattern by Paula_m. I will cast on in Merino 120 from Lang Yarns as soon as I have a free evening by the fireplace.

Barbara can be happy about a finished project. Personally, I can't always decide which is better: the finished piece of knitting or the magic of sewing on something new?

It's finished! The Shore Tee by Anne Ventzel was taken out of my hands before the last threads were sewn. I had to ask my big girl to take it off again for the photo. I knitted with Pure Silk from Knitting for Olive and Cashmere Lace from Pascuali. It feels like it's going to be another one of those universal garments: For the movies, for an autumn walk and for snuggling up on the sofa.

Knitting together through November

Audrey Jacket by Cheryl Mokhtari at Louisa.

Of course, knitting has many advantages, but one nice aspect is definitely that this passion connects us. And that's why Louisa and I like to knit the same design from time to time. A mini knit-along!

I've got myself into something ... In November I'm knitting the Audrey Jacket by Cheryl Mokhtari together with Sophia. In a cheerful dark gray, because it's so chic! But even the gauge swatch is tricky: the bouclé nature of the yarn makes counting the stitches subtly difficult and the dark color doesn't really help either. But you know what? Teddy Dear is so cozy that it will be worth the effort. I may even have another project in the pipeline using this gorgeous yarn. 😇

Now you already know that I'm knitting a hat and a cardigan. That's all I really have on the needles at the moment, even though I'm very, very, very keen on Northern Augustins No 6.

But I want to show a bit of knitting discipline again, which is why I want to finish something first before something new goes on the needles.

Recently, two projects just hopped off the needles - and since then I've been living in the Olga Sweater by PetiteKnit from Peer Gynt by Sandnes. I also like to wear the Kolding from ChrisBerlin. I knitted it from Premium Silk by Schachenmayr and couldn't be happier with the result!

Hello everyone!
After I finally finished the Olga Sweater (somehow it took me longer than usual...), I'm currently working on the Debutant Sweater from Sandnes Magazine. Not made of mohair, though, but single-ply with Ecopuno, stash reduction that is🫣...
At the same time, there is something similar to Sophie Scarf (without pattern, but looks like Sophie Scarf) made of Cashmere Premium from LangYarns, then socks and more socks.
But I'm thinking about Champagne Cardigan...that comes after (or in between 😂)
Best wishes to the knitting universe!
