I owe you something! A detailed update on what the Maschenfein team currently has on the needles. After last week's summery temperatures, it's a bit cooler this week. And as mixed as the weather is, so are our projects. Take a look:
Three times Romy
To start with, there is the concentrated Mother's Day shawl power. Jule gets to make the start.
I'm busy knitting the maschenfein Mother's Day shawl Romy. Unfortunately, I haven't made as much progress as I wanted to - I've just started on the middle section. To be honest, it probably won't be finished by Mother's Day ... Well, I can still give Romy to my mom later. She asked for the color navy blue from Como Cashmere by Lamana.

The 'craziest' in our round-up this month is definitely Louisa. You'll find out why, of course:
Maybe I'm a little obsessed: I'm currently knitting my third Mother's Day shawl, Romy. And for good reason!
Actually, I hardly ever knit a design more than once. But ... As a pattern knitter, I worked on my first Mother's Day shawl back in February. Unfortunately, this version was stolen shortly after it was handed over to Marisa and before the photo shoot (remember the stolen suitcase?). And so I decided to knit it again, again in light gray, because somehow you can't do without a Mother's Day shawl. In the meantime, the name for the Mother's Day shawl Romy was decided. And since my grandma's name is Romi (we can cope with i instead of y, ok? 😉 ), it was quickly decided that this shawl wouldn't stay with me either. When I ordered wool for Romy 3.0, I added yarn for Romini to my shopping cart, because I really wanted to try out Romy 's little sister. And so, after two Romys and a Romini, I am finally knitting the Mother's Day shawl that will stay with me - in the most beautiful dark green.
I'm taking part in the Mother's Day Shawl Knit-Along again this year. Will I finish in time? Let's see ...
After it took me just under a year to complete my Mother's Day shawl in the last round, I was encouraged to try my luck again this year ... 😉 No, seriously: I just like the Romy Mother's Day shawl so much that I want one too.
I am knitting with Como Cashmere from Lamana in the color marble. The cool white is incredibly beautiful and the yarn is a dream to knit with. I won't finish it by Mother's Day, but that's not too bad. And while I'm knitting my way through the middle section, I'm already dreaming of the next projects ...

Newly planned
Sandra changed her mind once again. The yarn and design didn't match, but a solution was quickly found:
The original plan was to turn the light-colored line into something else: a summery Mia cardigan. But somehow the yarn and the pattern didn't quite click and so some colorful company moved in. The new plan: a Cleo sweater from Sandnes.
So I started.... And first a board in front of my head. Anyone who has ever knitted according to a Sandnes pattern knows what I'm talking about when I say that there's a lot of room for interpretation. 😅
But now that I can join the two front pieces, I dare to announce that I have conquered the pattern, filled the room for interpretation with stitches and will soon be able to knit mindless stockinette in striped rounds.
Line by Sandnes is a great yarn in summer and you can wear sweaters in it when it's a little too cool for a shirt. I'm already looking forward to it!

Chris from our support team is currently providing for sunny days:
In my search for practical and uncomplicated sun protection, I discovered the Wiesenblume headscarf from Kleinigkeitenliebe in our store.
It is available for small and large heads and is knitted from Line by Sandnes.
I still had enough yarn in one color left over from another project - but I can also imagine the scarf in several colors from the many Line leftovers I still have ...
Summer feelings
Barbara's two projects this month are also suitable for warm weather:
Spring at last! Ever since Lotti and Milotti, I've been in love with the Pinta by Pascuali: the clear stitch definition, the 3D effect - and the colors!
My girls are getting the T01 from Pippaknit in pink and the Cécile top from Paula_M in the color peony.

Our working student Hannah is also in summer mode. Her project is a great basic piece!
After finishing my West Wrap by Sandnes from last month, it's now time for the Hope Top by Gudrun Fesl from March. I still have a few centimeters of stockinette stitch ahead of me, but my preliminary try-on (thanks to the great stitch holder ropes) reveals: it's worth it. As you can see, the sun is already shining brightly - so I shouldn't take too much longer.
