Well, now it's here. Ciao late summer, hello autumn! Personally, I found it pretty nasty the last few weeks. I already didn't want to let summer go, then came a pretty cold week and I was like, "Okay, okay, it's autumn now." Then the late summer celebrated its comeback again and I started sweating.
Now I boldly put up the thesis that autumn is here now. Certainly in the climate change garb, but at least so that I can leave my shawl around my neck indoors and the wool socks may warm my feet all day.
So if you're still wrapped up in your blankets right now or the coffee machine is already running a second time: You did everything right. A wonderful good morning to the first Saturday coffee in November!
News from ChrisBerlin
Periodically, my mom and I get carried away and say, "Well, it's time to take a break from shawl knitting." Because I can literally hear you guys laughing, we know what happens after that: We knit another shawl.
And why not? Apart from the well-known knitting law "you can never have enough shawls", shawls are also simply practical. And beautiful. And cozy. And fun to knit.
Why don't you knit Verona and Premia together?
So you can put on your list - or in the shopping cart, you fast clicking fingers, you! - Fanö Sand by ChrisBerlin. The design is inspired by the Danish island of the same name and the associated wool festival. Absolute pro-arguments, if you ask me (marketing people have it easy with me. A little hygge and I'm in).
In the knitting kit you will find Verona and Premia from LAMANA. This combination is just so soft and light - you can't get around it. The shawl is knitted from one side to the other and you can choose between four sizes. For Maschenfein applies: The more shawl the better! But decide for yourself.
There is also a fresh cardigan
If you like cables, lace and delicate knits, you should also take a look at Lilac by ChrisBerlin. The cardigan is knit top down with saddle shoulders. Cables and lace patterns form the trim and the tight cuffs create a nice, classy finish.
You knit here with Merino Baby and Manada from Pascuali. You can combine these yarns wonderfully with each other. The wearing comfort is simply wonderful. Ask Sandra, she is knitting one piece after the other.
Keep a piece of the summer
You can preserve summer feelings with the latest design from Paula_m. And with homemade jam, of course. I love both and would therefore be tempted to eat a croissant with jam in a stitch sweater.
The model is knitted top down in the hole pattern. As usual, Susanne will give you a detailed pattern that will guide you safely through the knitting process. You are knitting with Como Grande from LAMANA. A superlight yarn that, like its little sister Como, is made from 100 percent merino wool that is obtained mulesing-free. Choose a nice color, here's the direct link to the knitting kit!
A touch of cashmere ...
Similarly light, but quite different, is the cardigan Morgane by the French Emilie Luis. Jule and I have briefly considered which yarn combination would be best. It was quickly decided: A touch of cashmere is a must. So the choice fell on Milano and Premia from LAMANA. Also such a dream combination and guaranteed with more durability than many footballer marriages.
Morgane itself is knitted from the top down, ready to try on. The broken rib pattern provides a slight fullness.
Who - like me - is already thinking about knitted Christmas gifts and - unlike me - is already in the implementation (I feel pressure like from December 20th), could think about small neck shawls. Since there have been quite a lot lately, how about, for example, the model Sorgenfri Tørkle by Indiblomst? In the store, for example, we already have the matching children's jacket and also the design for adults.
All three designs you knit with Como from LAMANA. For the shawl you need two balls. You can get the pattern if you sign up for the newsletter here.
Some time ago Louisa told you in our newsletter that you can find remaining lots of Merino Twist Solids from Cowgirl Blues in the sale. The sock yarn from South Africa, which is much too good to "only" knit socks with.
Possible would be, for example, the Baby Bobble Cowl. You can find the pattern on Ravelry. Knit in the round with a mixture of rib and popcorn pattern. For the design you need two to three balls of Merino Twist Solids. Depending on the pattern, you can also knit the cowl a little lower or higher.

Small accessories knit themselves anyway so incidentally. And also wander as if by magic in the basket (hand up, who has never taken "these two balls for a few mitts"). Personally, I'm quite sugared by the wrist warmers wild berry and am already looking forward to when I can knit a dress like the model Esther Dress for the little daughter.
Webtalk
There is so much to tell. There really is! In our last team meeting, we took a close look at the remaining two months of the year and cooked up a few things for you. After all, Advent and Christmas are coming up - and for you, hopefully, a really nice, maschenfein end to the year. Be excited!
Until we reveal our secrets, you can browse through our new inspiration Slip over, Pullunder. Louisa writes there about the comeback of the good old slipovers, which we have been encountering again and again for some time. A brand new addition is the Zoora Slipover by Rosa P.
I particularly like the shoulder area in this design. To get close to the hand-dyed character, we have chosen the Merino DK Solids from Cowgirl Blues. If your desired color is not represented there, you can also fall back on Double Sunday from SANDNES.

Maschenfein knitting round
There is also a lot going on in our knitting community or on the needles (à propos: Next week our blog series On the needles appears again!). Take a look here:
Denise has finished the Gatharing Stripes Sweater by Veera Välimäki in Merino 120 Lang Yarns. This is sooo a great kids design and has been on my list for a while too. Marisa has knitted it three times already. Thanks to Merino 120 it can withstand several children and also washing in the machine. And spilling all over.
Daniela shows you the scarf Cavan from Como Tweed by LAMANA. The colors fit perfectly into the fall.
At Charlima42 the Sophie Shawl from Como Grande by LAMANA is on the needles. I also have it on the list. The small version has simply knitted away like nothing.
And at Knitmalnett summer feelings come up once again - with the scarf Zora from Milano by LAMANA. One of your all time favorites. And mine too, by the way. I wear my Zora without joke up and down.
I for one am now looking at what this November weekend has in store for me. Certainly an early rise, because I am blessed with early risers (positive mindset is simply everything), but also with cozy coffee rounds and hopefully one or the other knitting series. Make it autumnal and cozy!

Ah, Morgane smiles at me but so right. Also the yarn corresponds fully to my Beuteschema. Unfortunately, however, in English and thus out 😢🤷♀️ The Zoora Slipover is also dreamy.
There are such beautiful painstructionsrom ChrisBerlin. Unfortunately, I had such problems with the last two designs that it joined Sandnes on the list instructionsern/designers to avoid. Such a shame, but better for my knitting well-being.
I wish you all a nice weekend.
The Zoora Slipover I also find very cool. A nice project, which can sometimes accidentally wander on the needles. 😉 And for questions about pinstructionsI like to recommend our Facebook group. There is always help if you get stuck with a tutorial. Best wishes and a good start into the new week! Sophia
Dear Sophia, I am of course in the Facebook group and the girls agreed with me in this case that they also had problems. I already thought I would be too stupid☺️
Dear Sophia,
Great to have you back at the start!
Beautiful weekend
Sabine
Dear Sabine, thank you! I am also very happy 🙂 Love, Sophia
