One thing right away: Latin was unfortunately not my thing. French, English, everything easy - but not this dead language. Nevertheless, the sentence Cogito ergo sum has remained in my memory: I think, therefore I am. Yes, it fits. But do you know what wisdom might be remembered by us for once? I knit, therefore I am. Because we all know what days and weeks feel like when you don't get to knit. Tough, unsatisfying, almost a bit joyless.

So I hope that you come this weekend quite a lot of knitting. Have a wonderful good morning for Saturday coffee with lots of knitting inspiration, a little hype and of course some net talk from our beautiful knitting world!

News from Isabell Kraemer

Vaike
Vaike is definitely a cozy fall companion.

If there's one thing you can definitely use in the fall and winter, it's scarves. Gladly of course with the matching gauntlets or cap, but you have to start somewhere.

A good start would be for example the scarf Vaike by Isabell Kraemer. With a gauge of about 18 stitches per ten centimeters, it has a nice weight and will keep you wonderfully warm. When choosing your yarn, we suggest either Sensai and So Kosho from ITO (for all mohair lovers) or Kosho and So Kosho (for all not-so-mohair lovers). So either you have a scarf made of silk, mohair, new wool and cashmere (hello!) or "only" virnew woold cashmere. All Milano-fans know that this combination is also the madness solo.

Also still very fresh is the sweater Fjolla by Isabell Kraemer. It is knitted seamlessly top down. Except for a delicate pattern on the neck, the focus here is clearly on the sleeves. Quite something different! Here, too, we recommend an ITO combination: Kosho and Sensai. (I think, if I write again Sensai write, I need a knit from it. More on that later).

Eieiei, and then under the scarf the sweater Fjolla!

A sophisticated slipover

A different pattern for a change: Armelle slipover from Along avec Anna.

Jule has discovered a somewhat different sweater the days. In general, the designs of the French are very nice - there is certainly something in other Saturday coffees.

The Armelle Slipover in any case, you knit from the bottom up with an interesting textured pattern. The end is a turtleneck, which is worked in a double rib pattern. So that you do not get too warm, we recommend the combination Summeruld and Midnatssol from CaMaRose.

Two designs from Børstet Alpakka: Elm Solo and the sweater Maria.

It has been a long time since I showed you a model from Børstet Alpakka from SANDNES. Is of course also because the yarn is not suitable for every design due to its nature. But for the two sweaters above it definitely is. And I can tell you: I have knitted the yarn very much!

On the left you see the sweater Elm Solo from Lene Holme Samsøe. The cozy piece is knitted seamlessly top down. Hach, the pattern excites me already very much!

The same stimulus behavior also applies to the Maria sweater by SANDES, whose pattern are no longer published. I knitted this sweater years ago and still love wearing it. So the fact that the world is currently without Maria sweater I could hardly bear the fact that the world has to do without it at the moment, and that's why I tried to get the siinstructionsttern for you. From now on you can buy the kit again, and you wilinstructionshe pattern for free as a pdf with the yarn. Knitting is done here from the bottom up.

Touched 1000 times ...

Classic, timeless, Cumulus blouse.
Photo: © PetiteKnit

... 1000 times something has already happened. Lalala ... Of course you already know the Cumulus Blouse from PetiteKnit. Has one or the other of you already in the closet. Maybe even from Deluxe Silk Mohair from Krea Deluxe, I had shown the variant a few weeks ago.

Well, what can I say? The other day Marisa was a guest at ITO and had a look at the model in double Sensai looked at. Hallali! There we become really weak again! Obviously you do too. Because the demand was so great that we have the right kit have put on. By the way, this is the moment I was talking about above: One more time Sensai and I must have something from it. How about this blouse?

In the Instagram stories, the model was seen in blue: This color selection (328 Denim and 340 New Blue) is also preset in the kit. But double Iron Blue (348) or double Pool Green (342) or Pool Green with Mint (699) is also great. Please pick me up at double Pool Green, thank you.

Also for ages I have not shown you something from Cusco from LAMANA. So how good that I've run across the secret things from Kerstin on Instagram the other day. Strictly speaking, it is about a cap and the matching loop. Cusco Is a pleasantly heavy yarn and perfectly suited for the current temperatures. And if you like, you can also use one of our vegan fur p om poms instead of the homemade pom pom. Both have something going for them!

Net whisper: Christmas is coming soon!

Hach. Hach, hach, hach! Who is still in the mood for Christmas?
Photo: © SANDNES

I know. Some people don't want to hear it yet. But that's the way it is: October is more or less over, then comes November, then the usual December hustle and bustle, and in no time at all it's Christmas Eve. So it's only fair to start looking cautiously in the direction of Advent. When I read the last SANDNES newsletter, I was on the verge of listening to the playlist with Michael Bublé's Christmas songs*. I just love Christmas!

Jule has already created all the kits to match the booklet. We are just waiting for the delivery and then it will be very Christmassy here, I tell you. Take a look at SANDNES and see what you can knit ...

The question of the Christmas outfit should not be underestimated. Before I had a child, I was very conscientious. Since I've had a child, I'm happy to wear something stain-free to coffee. But still: When I saw the picture of the Magnolia Bloom Tunic by Camilla Vad, I immediately had a picture of me, the dress and a fir tree in my head. So pretty! The tutorial is due in November.

Me with it under the Christmas tree? Fits, doesn't it? Magnolia Bloom Tunic is coming next month. So very soon!

Waxed Canvas Bucket Bag
New from Twig & Horn: The Waxed Canvas Bucket Bag.

However, already today in the Maschenfein store is the Waxed Canvas Bucket Bag from Twig & Horn. It is perfect for on the go and accommodates smaller projects. The canvas fabric is easy to clean and develops a certain patina over time, much like leather. The bag is in a cranberry tone and definitely a nice companion for all knitters!

I would also like to take this opportunity to tell you about our latest newsletter. In it, we already give you a preview of our podcast episode tomorrow. This much we can reveal: It has nothing to do with knitting, but with a topic that is very close to our hearts. We are excited about the conversation and are looking forward to your feedback!

To return to the wisdom I mentioned at the beginning: If the phrase I knit, therefore I am applies to anyone in particular, it's our commission knitters, busily crafting piece after piece for the maschenfein showcase. The Cardi V-Neck by Anne Ventzel was already shown to you by Marisa the other day, and very soon also the already above mentioned Elm Solo by Lene Holme Samsøe. The Cardi V-Neck is in this case made of Como and double Tynn Silk Mohair knitted. There is now also as a kit with us! Madness, what you have conjured up here, Dagmar and Heidi!

Maschenfein knitting round

But when it comes to knitting addiction and our own well-being, we're all in the same boat. This is what I always see when I take a look at our Maschenfein knitting circle.

I was definitely happy about Sandra's knitting parade these days - consisting of the pulse warmers from ITO (Ready to wear, I just say!), the sweater Saiki and the scarf Talula. You can also see a scarf at Bärbel. She has given a friend the scarf Tara - really great!

Photos via Instagram: © instagram.com/knitundliesel / instagram.com/anjas.knitwork

You'll find a sweater at Gaby's. She has finished the test knit for a new design by Lisa - and we are really looking forward to the Soulmate Sweater! Anja is knitting another shawl. And this is the model Cloe. I already have it, but I could easily have another one!

In the end, I researched again what knitting means in Latin. Nobody could really help. Because in my team they can mainly all only math (Shocking!). But then, luckily, help came from Lina, who has the necessary technical background. In this sense: Lanam facio, ergo sum - I work with wool, therefore I am. Have a great weekend and have fun knitting and browsing!

*I did it for this Saturday coffee. Don't judge me! I eat gingerbread already too!

Gaby

Dear thanks for your publication of my post with the Soulmatesweater.
Our whole test knitting round was totally excited and the Saturday coffee was read without coffee before breakfast. Later in peace again with coffee.
We all feverishly await the publication.
I can only say - he is a DREAM.

In this sense Lanam facio, ergo sum

Bettina

Dear Maschenfein team, as always a great Saturday coffee, the saying: "Lanam facio, ergo sum - I work with wool, therefore I am "you should have made as labels and include in your store, will certainly be the hit .😅

Thanks for all the inspiration every week.Have a good time, and stay healthy.
Very dear greetings Bettina

Sophia

Dear Bettina, hach, thank you so much for your lovely feedback! All the best for you too and love! Sophia

Monika

Dear Sophia, even if I do not find everything beautiful, which is presented so, I like the Saturday coffee really well . You do it super! Unfortunately, I find every week something that I also want to knit!😛To finish all my projects, I should delete Instagram and process the next 20 years my existing wool - or teach my many daughters and granddaughters to knit. Love Monika

Sophia

Dear Monika, thank you for your lovely feedback 🙂 Oh, I know the problem with inspiration. There are just so many great things! Since only one thing helps: Continue knitting! 😉 Very dear greetings! Sophia

Bärbel

Thank you so much for posting my Instagram post. In fact, it is the shawl Tara (Knitting even more shawls), as Petra has already written above. Love greetings Bärbel

Sophia

Dear Bärbel, you are of course right! Sorry for the mistake, I was faster when writing than when reading. Great is the cloth anyway 🙂 Love and have a nice Sunday! Sopphia

Katrin

Hello,

yes that is also exactly my motto: ... I knit therefore I am. I don't feel good without it. And in doing so, I've realized that it's really not about the end result, putting it on, having it. But it's about a material what I choose in a color, maybe combine it with another one - I have to say that I never knit something given or can't knit after because I'm only 1.5m tall. Then the stitch test, calculating and processing ... these are all processes that I need like a good meal for a happy.

Have you again made so many beautiful suggestions to recreate or inspire!
The sweater Fjolla is very beautiful! And the scarf Vaike also! Vaike I would knit me e.g. but as a scarf, because I have it with triangular scarves not so. But as a scarf Vaike would also be quite easy nachstrickbar ... I see already, that goes.

So thanks again for the great ideas! Have a great long weekend ... one more day to knit! Have fun everyone.

Sophia

Dear Katrin, how nice that you enjoy knitting as much as we do and that you enjoyed the Saturday coffee so much. Have fun browsing, calculating and knitting! 🙂 Love, Sophia

Petra

This is today again a particularly beautiful Saturday coffee with quite a lot of temptations!

But the great brioche cloth is not an Ava, but a Tara.
I only noticed it because I was wondering if I could make it sooner.

Sophia

Dear Petra, thank you for the hint and your lovely feedback 🙂 Both shawls are more suitable for advanced knitters, but practice makes perfect as we all know 🙂 Love! Sophia

Meike

Good morning, thanks for all the ideas. Can I actually have enough cumulus blouses? - Haha, never! By the way, I'm already looking forward to the Christmas season! Best wishes to the whole Maschenfein team! Meike

Sophia

Dear Meike, I do not think you can have enough Cumulus blouses. The model is simply timeless and you just need many colors ... 😉 Very dear greetings! Sophia
